Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber professional to join our Data Protection Team in Asaba. This is a critical governance role designed for a specialist who understands that in the era of digital health and demographic records, data is our most valuable—and sensitive—asset.
Your mission is to serve as the custodian of data integrity and privacy. You will ensure that every record synced to our servers meets the rigorous standards of the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and specific requirements from bodies like the NPC and NDDC. If you have the technical grit to audit server data and the legal acumen to update privacy policies, we want you to lead our compliance efforts.
Requirements:
1. Technical Compliance & Data Audit
Server Integrity: Rigorously verify that all data received on the server complies with NPC and NDDC standards.
Accuracy Assurance: Audit household and enrollee records to ensure 100% accuracy and completeness in data capture.
Performance Analytics: Generate granular weekly reports on data activities, including sync status (compliant vs. non-compliant), user/agent metrics, and clinical data trends.
2. Policy Governance & Risk Management
Regulatory Alignment: Maintain and regularly update the company’s data protection policies to ensure 100% alignment with NDPR and evolving national privacy legislation.
Impact Assessments: Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and privacy audits to identify and mitigate risks in systems and processes.
Privacy-by-Design: Implement best practices for privacy controls within the company’s technical architecture and operational workflows.
3. Training, Onboarding & Culture
Capacity Building: Design and lead data privacy training sessions for all staff to foster a culture of "Privacy First" across the organization.
Agent Onboarding: Manage the secure onboarding of agents, ensuring they are fully trained on data capture standards and privacy protocols before accessing the field.
Ethics Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for all matters relating to data ethics and privacy-related inquiries.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Law, or Business Administration.
Advanced Standing: A Master’s degree or MBA is considered an advantage.
Certifications (Highly Desirable)
IAPP: Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).
Security: CISSP, CISM, or CISA certifications.
Compliance: Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
Core Competencies
Regulatory Expertise: Deep understanding of the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and international frameworks like GDPR.
Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot non-compliant data syncing and identify root causes in data entry.
Communication: Ability to translate complex legal privacy requirements into simple, actionable training for field staff and agents.
