Job Description:

Slate.ng is seeking a high-empathy Customer Support Associate to serve as the primary bridge between our platform and our diverse community of schools, educators, parents, and students. In the EdTech sector, technology is only as effective as the support behind it. This role is designed for a "User Champion", a tech-savvy professional with at least 1 year of experience who can blend administrative precision with a genuine desire to help the Nigerian education sector succeed.

Your mission is to ensure "Frictionless Learning." You will be responsible for the entire support lifecycle: from guiding new users through Slate.ng’s feature suite and troubleshooting digital tools to collaborating with tech teams to eliminate common pain points. If you possess a "Problem-Solving" mindset and the professional grit to thrive in an Abuja-based startup environment, we want you to be the voice of our customers.

Requirements:

1. Multi-Channel Resolution & Technical Guidance

  • Omnichannel Response: Manage and resolve client inquiries across email, chat, phone, and social media with speed and professional clarity.

  • Feature Advocacy: Act as a product expert, guiding educators and parents through the effective use of Slate.ng tools to maximize their educational impact.

  • Diagnostic Troubleshooting: Clarify complex user complaints, determine root causes, and offer swift, permanent solutions rather than temporary fixes.

2. Client Retention & Strategic Feedback

  • Proactive Engagement: Conduct regular check-ins with key institutional clients to ensure ongoing platform usage and high satisfaction levels.

  • Onboarding Stewardship: Support the training and transition of new schools onto the platform, ensuring educators feel confident from day one.

  • Insight Synthesis: Identify recurring user pain points and relay these insights to the Product and Tech teams to influence the future roadmap of Slate.ng.

3. Operational Excellence & Data Integrity

  • Record Governance: Maintain meticulous logs of all client interactions and resolutions to ensure continuity of service and internal transparency.

  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate seamlessly with the Sales and Tech departments to resolve escalated issues and ensure a unified brand voice.

  • AI-Enhanced Productivity: Utilize Generative AI and G-Suite tools to streamline response workflows and improve support efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Business, Education, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a client-facing role. Experience in EdTech or Startups is a significant advantage.

  • Location: MUST be resident in Abuja.

Core Competencies

  • Technical Agility: Proficiency in G-Suite, Microsoft Office, and Generative AI; comfortable troubleshooting digital platforms.

  • Soft Skills Mastery: High levels of empathy, patience, and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.

  • Linguistic Versatility: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of local languages is a plus for connecting with diverse school stakeholders.
