Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and customer-centric Retail Sales Associate to join our floor team. You will be the heartbeat of the store, responsible for ensuring our customers have a seamless shopping experience. Your role combines the art of visual merchandising—ensuring shelves are beautifully stocked and labeled—with the efficiency of transaction processing. The ideal candidate is a "people person" who takes pride in product presentation and can handle fast-paced customer inquiries with professional ease.

Requirements:

1. Inventory Management & Product Care

• Stock Replenishment: Regularly stock and replace products on the floor, ensuring high-demand items are always available while handling goods carefully to avoid damages.

• Freshness Control: Monitor and rotate stock to ensure shelves are always filled with fresh, high-quality products.

• Accuracy: Ensure all products on display are accurately labeled with correct pricing and descriptions.

2. Visual Merchandising & Sales Drive

• Strategic Display: Maximize customer interest and boost sales levels by displaying products according to visual merchandising standards.

• Store Preparation: Prepare creative and organized store displays for promotions, seasonal offers, or new arrivals.

• Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized shopping environment that encourages longer customer browsing.

3. Customer Service & Point of Sale (POS)

• Inquiry Handling: Attend to customer inquiries, help locate items, and provide detailed product information with a positive attitude.

• Service Excellence: Deliver a high standard of customer service that encourages repeat visits and builds brand loyalty.

• Transaction Processing: Utilize the POS system to process customer orders and payments in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

• Academic Background: Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree, HND, OND, or NCE qualification.

• Proven Tenure: Minimum of one (1) year of working experience specifically within a supermarket or large retail store.

Core Competencies

• Computer Literacy: Proficient in operating computers and basic Point of Sale (POS) software.

• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent customer-facing skills with a warm and engaging personality.

• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with both customers and team members.

• Stamina: Ability to remain active on the floor for extended periods and handle light lifting of stock.
