Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber, conceptually driven Copywriter to serve as a primary architect of our clients' brand narratives. This is a senior-level creative role (4–6 years experience) designed for a "Wordsmith" who understands that great copy doesn't just describe a product—it provokes action and builds cultural resonance.
Working in a hybrid capacity in Lagos, you will bridge the gap between business objectives and creative execution. You will partner closely with Art Directors and the Creative Director to translate complex briefs into "scroll-stopping" campaigns. If you have the mental agility to manage multiple accounts and the thick skin to iterate based on feedback, we want your voice in our room.
Requirements:
1. Conceptual Strategy & Brainstorming
Brief Interpretation: Liaise directly with Business Managers and clients to dissect requirements, core messaging, and audience psychology.
Creative Partnership: Collaborate with Art Directors and the creative team to brainstorm high-level visual and verbal concepts that solve business problems.
Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research into products, target demographics, and competitor maneuvers to ensure our creative is both fresh and strategically sound.
2. Copy Engineering & Campaign Development
Multi-Platform Execution: Write diverse copy options for various mediums, ranging from social media scripts and storyboards to long-form brand stories.
Pitch & Presentation: Present concepts to the Creative Director and clients, defending your creative choices while remaining open to constructive pivot points.
Iterative Refinement: Amend, revise, and redevelop campaigns in response to feedback from account management and clients until perfection is achieved.
3. Production Oversight & Quality Control
Execution Management: Oversee campaign bookings and collaborate with designers, illustrators, printers, and production houses to ensure the final output matches the creative vision.
Linguistic Integrity: Rigorously proofread and edit copy to ensure zero errors in spelling, grammar, and brand tone.
Impact Monitoring: Track and analyze the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, using performance data to inform future creative directions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Communications, English, Advertising, or a related field.
Experience: 4–6 years of proven experience in an advertising agency or a high-paced creative environment.
Portfolio: A strong body of work demonstrating conceptual thinking and "big idea" generation across diverse sectors.
