CLIENT SERVICE MANAGER AT ETU ODI COMMUNICATIONS | CLIENT SERVICE JOBS IN LAGOS

Lagos, Nigeria | Posted on 02/03/2026

About Company:

Etu Odi Nigeria is the next generation creative agency, combining insightful brand strategy, creative communication and engaging brand experience in helping organizations chart the course from awareness to loyalty in the minds and hearts of its customers.

Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Client Service Manager to serve as the strategic heartbeat of our agency-client partnerships. This is a mid-to-senior leadership role (4–9 years experience) designed for a "Relationship Architect"—someone who can navigate the complexities of corporate brand management while driving the internal engine of creative and production excellence.

Operating in a hybrid capacity in Lagos, you will be the ultimate owner of the client experience. Your mission is twofold: to ensure the flawless execution of multi-channel campaigns and to aggressively grow the agency's footprint through organic account development and new business acquisition. If you are a persuasive presenter with a forensic eye for budgets and the diplomatic skill to bridge the gap between clients and creatives, we want you to lead our accounts.

Requirements:

1. Strategic Business Growth & Pitch Leadership

  • End-to-End Pitch Ownership: Take full supervision of the RFP and pitch process, from initial research and strategy to final deck submission and presentation.

  • Organic Growth: Formulate annual strategic plans for every brand in your portfolio, identifying opportunities to upsell agency services and expand client spend.

  • Lead Generation: Proactively source new business leads through a structured sales funnel, ensuring a healthy pipeline of potential high-value accounts.

2. Account Governance & Creative Translation

  • Brief Engineering: Take complex communication briefs from clients and deconstruct them into high-clarity, inspiring creative briefs for the internal team.

  • Workflow Coordination: Orchestrate the flow of work between Creative, Media, and Production departments to ensure campaign milestones are met without friction.

  • Creative Advocacy: Serve as the primary "Seller" of the agency’s creative work, presenting ideas to clients with logic, enthusiasm, and strategic justification.

3. Financial Stewardship & Revenue Protection

  • Billing & Reconciliation: Work closely with the Finance department to ensure accurate billing, minimize project write-offs, and aggressively pursue unpaid invoices.

  • Cost Estimate (CE) Management: Monitor all outstanding CEs, ensuring timely client approval to protect agency cash flow and production timelines.

  • Contract Management: Update systems with change orders (delays, optimizations, etc.) and immediately alert the executive team of any shifts affecting projected revenue.

4. Operational Rigor & Reporting

  • Status Excellence: Compile and distribute detailed weekly status reports for both internal and external stakeholders with a "zero-error" tolerance for data inaccuracies.

  • Competitive Intelligence: Conduct rigorous quarterly reviews of the competitive landscape for all brands, providing clients with actionable market insights.

  • Meticulous Record-Keeping: Maintain an airtight system of contact reports, meeting minutes, and decision logs to ensure total accountability.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field.

  • Experience: 4–9 years of proven experience in Client Service or Account Management within a top-tier advertising or branding agency.

  • Sector Context: Deep understanding of the Nigerian media landscape and consumer behavior trends.

Core Competencies

  • Persuasive Communication: Exceptional ability to present ideas, negotiate budgets, and resolve client-agency conflicts.

  • Financial Acumen: Comfort with budget tracking, P&L reporting, and debt recovery processes.

  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple "moving parts" across several high-pressure accounts simultaneously.
