Job Description:
We are seeking a high-impact Channel Development Manager to spearhead our market dominance across Abuja and the North Central region (Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, and Plateau). In a competitive distribution landscape, growth is driven by the strength and loyalty of the dealer network. This role is designed for a "Market Architect", someone with 3+ years of experience who can transition from high-level strategic planning to on-the-ground dealer recruitment and trade execution.
Your mission is to expand our footprint and accelerate "sell-out" performance. You will be responsible for the entire channel lifecycle: from identifying and onboarding new dealers to implementing branded display corners and managing regional performance metrics. If you possess the analytical grit to monitor sell-in/sell-out ratios and the stamina for extensive regional travel, we want you to lead our North Central expansion.
Requirements:
1. Network Expansion & Dealer Onboarding
Territory Mapping: Conduct rigorous market analysis to identify gaps in coverage across the FCT and the six North Central states.
Recruitment Excellence: Identify, vet, and onboard high-potential dealers to ensure maximum regional distribution penetration.
Value Proposition Advocacy: Conduct regular outlet visits to educate dealers on the brand’s competitive advantages and financial incentives.
2. Performance Management & Sales Velocity
Sell-Out Acceleration: Implement strategies to improve the sales velocity of each dealer, ensuring products move quickly from their shelves to the consumer.
Data Synthesis: Monitor and analyze Sell-In vs. Sell-Out performance, identifying underperforming outlets and providing corrective interventions.
KPI Governance: Track and evaluate dealer performance against strict KPIs, providing regular intelligence feedback to executive leadership.
3. Trade Marketing & Brand Visibility
In-Store Excellence: Execute trade marketing initiatives, including the setup of branded display corners in key outlets to drive brand preference.
Strategic Reporting: Generate comprehensive performance reports that combine sales data with local market intelligence and competitor activity.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in channel sales, trade marketing, or dealer development.
Sector Advantage: Experience in HVAC, Building Materials, Electronics, or FMCG distribution is a significant plus.
Mobility: Must be willing and able to travel extensively across Abuja, Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, and Plateau.
