Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive Buyer / Procurement Expediter to serve as the critical engine of our project procurement cycle. In high-stakes sectors like EPC, Oil & Gas, and Construction, a project is only as fast as its slowest supplier. This role is designed for a "Delivery Specialist"—someone with 3–5 years of experience who can seamlessly move from executing purchase orders to relentlessly chasing production milestones to ensure project timelines are never compromised.
Your mission is to bridge the gap between "Ordered" and "Delivered." You will be responsible for the entire procurement velocity—from budget-compliant PO execution to resolving supplier shortages and managing logistics handovers. If you possess the tenacity to resolve vendor delays and the analytical depth to track complex procurement milestones, we want you to drive our supply chain efficiency.
Requirements:
1. PO Execution & Compliance
Procurement Governance: Execute purchase orders in strict alignment with approved requisitions, project budgets, and internal procurement SOPs.
Documentation Control: Ensure that the entire document trail—including POs, delivery notes, and material certificates—is complete, accurate, and compliant for audit purposes.
Financial Liaison: Coordinate with the Finance team to align Invoices with Goods Received Notes (GRN) to ensure seamless payment processing.
2. Expediting & Schedule Recovery
Velocity Management: Relentlessly follow up with suppliers on production progress, inspection dates, and shipment schedules to eliminate lead-time drift.
Milestone Tracking: Maintain high-precision expediting reports that provide project stakeholders with real-time visibility into material arrival dates.
Delay Mitigation: Identify potential supply shortages or vendor non-conformances early and implement escalation strategies to keep the project on track.
3. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
Logistics Integration: Work closely with warehouse and logistics providers to ensure a frictionless transition from the supplier’s factory to the project site.
Performance Monitoring: Support the evaluation of vendor performance, tracking lead-time accuracy and quality compliance to inform future sourcing decisions.
Collaborative Problem Solving: Act as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal engineering/project teams to resolve technical queries that may delay production.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: HND / B.Sc. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.
Experience: 3–5 years of active experience in procurement or expediting, specifically within EPC, Oil & Gas, or Construction environments.
Technical Savvy: High proficiency in MS Excel (for tracking and reporting) and experience with ERP/Procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or SAGE).
Core Competencies
Tenacity: A strong "follow-up" mindset to ensure vendors meet their contractual obligations.
Analytical Precision: Exceptional attention to detail regarding lead times, shipment schedules, and documentation.
Interpersonal Agility: Ability to manage high-pressure situations and maintain professional relationships with global suppliers and internal stakeholders.
