Job Description:
Boutique Accountant
Requirements:
- Your role as the Boutique Accountant will cover but not limited to the following:
Finance Business Partnering:
- Will work closely with the CFO to assure the integrity of the revenue and inventory numbers.
- Serve as the Finance Business Partner to the Head of Sales, Boutique Manager, sales team and the inventory team.
Sales Accounting & Reporting:
- Take ownership of Sales Accounting & Reporting. Ensure daily, weekly, monthly sales reporting. Send same to the CFO, Head of Sales and other relevant stakeholders.
- Daily monitoring sales, discounts, returns and payments collection transactions.
- Daily management of sales transactions postings.
- Reconciliation of the sales records. Matching sales records on ERP with inventory movement and with relevant bank inflows.
- Perform accounting tasks for retail, e-commerce and the inventory teams.
- POS Status Report of disputed transactions. Check and reconcile POS reports.
- Support in providing regular sales analytics.
Inventory Management Support:
- Work with the inventory Manager to assure the effective accounting for the inventory movement and inventory balances.
- Work with the inventory team to determine defective, obsolete and damaged Products.
- Daily review of inventory lists.
- Support the inventory team on the period; monthly, quarterly and annual inventory counts.
Others:
- Provide relevant supports during annual statutory audits process.
- Other ad-hoc reporting, analysis and other tasks as may be needed to support business objectives.
- Other relevant roles that may be assigned by the CFO.

Qualifications and Skills:
- HND/BSc in Accountancy, Economics, Business Management
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, accounting reconciliation, revenue assurance, inventory accounting etc
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage good relationship with colleagues
- Professional accounting qualification; ICAN or ACCA or CIMA will be added advantage.
- Retail Accounting experience will make a good plus.
