Job Description:

We are seeking a high-integrity and analytical Assistant Manager, Internal Audit to serve as a cornerstone of our corporate governance. In this role, you will be more than a "checker"; you will be a strategic partner tasked with safeguarding our assets, ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, and identifying operational risks before they impact the bottom line.

Reporting to the Head of Audit, you will lead the execution of the annual risk-based audit plan, conducting deep-dive reviews of financial and operational processes. The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of experience and possesses the professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or CIA) required to enforce IFRS and regulatory standards with absolute precision.

Requirements:

1. Risk-Based Audit Execution

• Audit Planning: Assist in developing a dynamic annual audit plan rooted in rigorous risk assessment across all business units.

• Full-Spectrum Auditing: Conduct comprehensive financial, operational, and compliance audits, ensuring every department adheres to the highest standards of accountability.

• Remediation Tracking: Identify control weaknesses and collaborate with management to provide practical, high-impact recommendations for remediation.

2. Governance & Compliance Oversight

• Internal Control Evaluation: Assess the adequacy of the organization’s control framework, focusing on preventing fraud, waste, and abuse.

• Regulatory Alignment: Ensure the organization remains 100% compliant with IFRS, local tax laws, and industry-specific regulatory requirements.

• Investigation Support: Lead or support forensic investigations into suspected policy violations or financial irregularities, maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards.

3. Reporting & Methodology Innovation

• Data-Driven Insights: Prepare detailed audit reports that translate complex findings into clear narratives on risk exposure and corrective actions.

• Methodology Evolution: Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit tools, leveraging technology and Microsoft Excel for advanced financial analysis and trend spotting.

• Stakeholder Management: Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations, acting as a catalyst for change within the organization.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: First Degree (B.Sc./HND) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Professional Certification: Mandatory certification in ACA, ACCA, or CIA.

• Experience: Minimum of 6 years in Internal/External Audit or Risk Management.

• Industry Context: Experience within an FMCG or Manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
