About Company:

Akwa Ibom State was created on the 23rd of September 1987 by the then Military Administration of General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida. The creation of the State brought to fruition years of prolonged struggle by the people that occupied the mainland part of the former Cross River State. For many, the creation of the State was a mark of justice, having been left out in earlier state creation exercises despite leading in the struggle for state creation in Nigeria, through the Ibibio Union, - a foremost Socio-Cultural organization that served as a unifying platform for the people of this part of Nigeria. In 1948, Ibibio Union, formed in 1928, transformed from a mere cultural association to a goal driven institution which promoted and championed the cause of state creation in Nigeria.

The ARISE Tech Talent Accelerator is seeking high-potential graduates for an intensive immersion in Data Analytics & Visualization. In an increasingly data-driven global economy, the ability to transform raw numbers into strategic narratives is the ultimate competitive advantage. This programme is designed as a "Digital Insight Engine"—an opportunity for Akwa Ibom’s brightest minds to master the tools that drive modern business decisions.

Your mission is to bridge the gap between "Big Data" and "Actionable Intelligence." You will be trained in the entire analytical lifecycle: from data cleaning and statistical modeling to the creation of high-impact visual dashboards. If you are an indigene of Akwa Ibom State with a background in Science, Engineering, Law, or the Arts, and possess a passion for problem-solving, we want to accelerate your career in tech.

Requirements:

1. Data Architecture & Synthesis

• Foundational Analytics: Master the core principles of data collection, ensuring data integrity and cleaning "dirty data" for accurate analysis.

• Statistical Modeling: Learn to apply mathematical and logical frameworks to identify trends, correlations, and anomalies within large datasets.

• Tool Mastery: Gain proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Excel Power Query, SQL, or Python for Data Science).

2. Visual Storytelling & Dashboarding

• Information Design: Learn the art of "Visual Intelligence"—choosing the right charts, maps, and graphs to make complex data instantly understandable.

• Interactive Dashboards: Build dynamic, real-time dashboards (using tools like Power BI or Tableau) that allow stakeholders to "drill down" into the data.

• Presentation Excellence: Develop the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences, turning data points into business growth strategies.

3. Professional Governance & Ethical Data Use

• Data Ethics: Understand the critical importance of data privacy, security, and the ethical implications of algorithmic decision-making.

• Project Management: Apply agile methodologies to manage data projects from the initial question to the final visualization.

Qualifications and Skills:

Academic Profile Candidates must possess a Degree in any of the following:

• Master of Science (M.Sc) or Master of Arts (MA)

• Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng)

• Bachelor of Laws (L.LB)

Mandatory Eligibility Criteria

• Indigenous Status: Applicants MUST be indigenes of Akwa Ibom State.

• Identity Verification: Must provide National Identification Number (NIN) and Voter Identification Number (VIN).

• Employment Status: Applicants must be currently unemployed or actively seeking employment.

• Location: Training is based in Obio Imo, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
