Job Description:
Swift Consulting is seeking a proactive and results-driven Aftersales Deputy Manager / Project Engineer to serve as the operational backbone of our heavy equipment and rentals division. In the world of high-value machinery, the sale is only the beginning; the real value is created through seamless deployment, world-class maintenance, and impeccable client support.
You will play a dual role: managing the technical "Project Engineering" side of equipment installation and the "Aftersales" side of rental logistics and customer retention. If you have 3–5 years of experience in heavy machinery operations and the leadership skills to coordinate a high-performing technical team, we want you to drive our operational excellence.
Requirements:
1. Equipment Deployment & Project Engineering
Operational Readiness: Supervise the deployment, installation, and technical handover of heavy equipment to ensure all machinery is site-ready and meets safety standards.
Technical Oversight: Ensure that all installations are carried out to manufacturer specifications, minimizing the risk of premature failure or operational downtime.
Handover Governance: Manage the transition of equipment from the warehouse to the client site, ensuring all documentation and training are completed.
2. Aftersales Support & Client Success
Service Coordination: Provide structured support by managing service inquiries and coordinating preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment lifespan.
Resolution Management: Act as the primary point of escalation for client complaints, ensuring technical issues are resolved promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Retention Strategy: Leverage aftersales excellence to build long-term relationships that drive repeat rentals and sales.
3. Inventory & Operational Management
Asset Optimization: Monitor equipment availability and utilization rates to maximize the ROI on our rental fleet and reduce idle time.
Stock Integrity: Oversee periodic stock-taking and inventory reconciliation for both machinery and critical spare parts.
Reporting & Team Leadership: Supervise the aftersales team, preparing detailed reports on stock levels, rental performance, and team KPIs for management review.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment operations, aftersales service, or rentals coordination.
Tech Stack: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and specialized reporting/inventory management tools.
Core Competencies
Technical Logistics: Strong understanding of heavy machinery, spare parts inventory, and industrial operational processes.
Supervisory IQ: Proven ability to lead and coordinate technical teams and third-party contractors.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and high-priority clients.
