Job Description:

We are a leading solar energy company on a mission to drive clean energy adoption through innovative technology and efficient financial management. We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Junior Finance Officer to support our finance department. This is a high-impact role perfect for a finance professional in the early stages of their career who is eager to contribute to sustainable energy solutions while growing their expertise in accounting and financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of accurate financial statements, quarterly reports, and departmental budgets.

  • Ledger Maintenance: Record and maintain daily financial transactions following standard accounting principles.

  • AP/AR Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring that invoices are processed and payments are made on time.

  • Bank Reconciliations: Regularly reconcile bank statements and identify/resolve any financial discrepancies.

  • Tax & Compliance: Assist with tax computations, filings, and ensure the company remains compliant with all local regulatory requirements.

  • Audit Support: Participate in internal and external financial audits by organizing documentation and assisting auditors.

  • Analysis & Forecasting: Support cost analysis and financial forecasting efforts to provide the management team with data-driven insights.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience: You must have completed your NYSC and possess 1–2 years of hands-on working experience.

  • Professional Certification: You must be currently undergoing or have already completed your ICAN certification.

  • Core Knowledge: A solid grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and Nigerian tax regulations.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory. Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) is a significant advantage.

  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, high attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to team members.

Salary

₦150,000 - ₦200,000/month
