Job Description:

A leading, reputable trading company is seeking a highly analytical, scientifically grounded, and rigorously disciplined Warehouse Manager to oversee our centralized storage operations and high-volume chemical inventory. In this business-critical role, you will take absolute accountability for the safety, integrity, and operational flow of our warehouse facilities.

This position demands far more than basic logistical coordination; it requires a unique professional who bridges the gap between expert industrial chemistry and enterprise supply chain management. Leveraging your scientific background, you will personally design and enforce chemical storage matrices, mitigate hazardous material risks, manage stock records, and command field staff to maintain an airtight, efficient, and regulatory-compliant distribution engine.

Requirements:

1. Chemical Governance, Safety & Compliance

• Hazardous Storage Architecture: Architect and enforce strict chemical compatibility storage layouts based on Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), ensuring proper segregation of volatile, flammable, acidic, and alkaline compounds to prevent cross-contamination or chemical reactions.

• HSE & Spill Mitigation: Establish, audit, and champion strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols. Maintain total readiness for spill containment, emergency ventilation, and chemical fire suppression systems, ensuring 100% compliance with environmental and industrial regulatory bodies.

• Quality Preservation: Monitor environmental variables—including temperature boundaries, humidity levels, and specialized lighting constraints—to preserve the chemical integrity, shelf-life, and active properties of all stored raw materials and finished products.

2. End-to-End Logistical Execution

• Daily Operations Command: Direct and optimize the daily operational lifecycle of the warehouse, from inbound intake grids to outbound loading bays.

• Receiving & Dispatch Coordination: Supervise the structural offloading, sampling, and cataloging of incoming chemical imports, while orchestrating rapid, error-free dispatch timelines to trade clients nationwide.

• Supply Chain Synchronization: Partner with the Procurement and Sales departments to provide real-time updates on logistical bottlenecks, lead-time variances, and transport safety requirements.

3. Advanced Inventory Control & Data Hygiene

• Stock Movement Auditing: Track and document the precise lifecycle of all assets using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) and First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) material management frameworks.

• Reconciliation & Reporting: Compile and analyze weekly stock variances, shrinkage indices, and re-order thresholds, presenting comprehensive data-backed inventory dashboards to executive management.

• System Administration: Utilize advanced inventory software systems and Microsoft Office suites to maintain flawless, digital-twin records of all physical stock movements.

4. Team Leadership & Workforce Optimization

• Staff Supervision: Manage, train, and mentor warehouse supervisors, forklift operators, and handling crews, instilling a deep corporate culture of handling safety, speed, and precision.

• Resource Allocation: Delegate daily task schedules, balance labor hours during peak shipping seasons, and run ongoing performance appraisals to maximize general operational velocity.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Academic Foundation

• Degree: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a strictly related molecular science discipline from an accredited institution.

Experience & Track Record

• Professional Longevity: Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive, verifiable experience operating within warehouse operations, stock controls, or industrial inventory management.

• Domain Specialization: A clear, demonstrable history of managing chemical products, agricultural inputs, industrial raw materials, or pharmaceutical ingredients is an absolute prerequisite.
