About Company:
ZitraPay is a B2B cross-border payments company built for businesses that move money internationally. Operating at the intersection of compliance, technology, and financial infrastructure, ZitraPay specialises in international invoice settlements and Payment on Behalf of (PoBo) services; enabling companies to pay foreign vendors, suppliers, and partners efficiently across multiple corridors.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Treasury Manager who understands that treasury is a revenue function & not just a cost or rate-matching centre. This person knows how to source and manage liquidity, reads FX markets, matches rates intelligently, and builds the partnerships that make our pricing sharper and our rails faster. You will own ZitraPay's treasury operations end-to-end: liquidity, banking relationships, payment rails, and commercial fintech partnerships. This is a high-ownership role reporting directly to the founder, and the right candidate will have visible impact from day one.
Requirements:
Liquidity & FX Management:
- Source, evaluate, and onboard competitive fiat and stablecoin liquidity providers and OTC desks.
- Manage rate-matching strategy to ensure ZitraPay's pricing remains competitive without eroding margin.
Banking & Payment Infrastructure:
- Establish and deepen cross-border banking relationships with a focus on lower fees, faster settlement, and greater flexibility.
- Identify and onboard new payment rails across priority African markets including Ghana, Senegal, Kenya, The Gambia, and Cameroon.
Commercial & Fintech Partnerships:
- Identify and structure cross-trade partnerships with other fintechs; positioning ZitraPay as a liquidity provider where our pricing and infrastructure creates mutual advantage.
- Hunt new commercial partners systematically; understand their pain points and map ZitraPay's strengths to their needs (e.g, Oil & gas, Multinations, major Pharmaceuticals and some major Stablecoin buyers).
- Maintain a live pipeline of active and prospective LP and commercial partner relationships.
- Support treasury management services for multinational clients seeking FX solutions and liquidity support.
Operations & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all treasury positions, trades, and partner arrangements (i.e trade trackers & payment blotter).
- Produce regular reporting on FX performance, ratios, spread analysis, and Profi & Loss.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2–5 years of experience in FX trading, treasury operations, or a liquidity-focused role within a fintech, OTC desk, or financial institution.
- Demonstrated ability to source and negotiate with liquidity providers — you have existing relationships or know how to build them quickly.
- Strong FX market knowledge with a working understanding of NGN, USD, and at least one other African currency corridor.
- Commercial instinct: you understand the difference between generating revenue through spreads and simply marking up rates.
- Analytically sharp with a hands-on approach to data; comfortable building and maintaining Excel dashboards, rate calculators, and spread/volume trackers from scratch. You don't wait for a system to tell you the numbers; you build the tools that surface them.
- Experience building or managing cross-border banking and payment relationships.
- Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-moving environment where you own the outcome.
