Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and tech-savvy Tracking Officer to join our logistics and operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the real-time monitoring and coordination of shipments, assets, or fleet activities to ensure operational efficiency, timely delivery, and data accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Monitoring & Oversight: Track and monitor shipments, fleet vehicles, or assets in real-time using specialized tracking systems and software.

  • Data Coordination: Maintain accurate logs of movement, status updates, and location data.

  • Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between drivers/field teams and the operations department to resolve delays or logistical issues.

  • Reporting: Prepare daily status reports and provide real-time updates to management regarding operational progress and any identified bottlenecks.

  • Problem Solving: Proactively address route deviations, equipment failures, or scheduling conflicts to ensure minimal operational downtime.

  • Compliance: Ensure all tracking activities adhere to company safety standards and operational protocols.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Minimum of an HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in a tracking, logistics, or dispatch role.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in GPS tracking software and basic fleet management systems.

    • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).

  • Core Competencies:

    • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot discrepancies in data and track multiple assets simultaneously.

    • Communication: Clear, concise communication skills, especially under pressure.

    • Analytical Thinking: Capability to interpret data to improve route planning or response times.

    • Resilience: Ability to work effectively in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.

Salary

N150,000 – N500,000 monthly
