About Company:
The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) was established in 1992 by the Federal Government after the recommendations of the White Paper Committee on the 1991 Report of a 150 member National Committee on Engineering Infrastructure comprising Scientists, Engineers, Administrators, Federal and State Civil Servants, Economists, Lawyers, Bankers and Industrialists.
Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber and strategically rigorous Supply Chain & Logistics Officer to anchor our nationwide distribution network across Benue, Maiduguri, Enugu, Kano, and Lagos. In the mission-critical sector of energy infrastructure, success is defined by "Supply Chain Resilience", the ability to harmonize large-scale warehousing, complex distributor logistics, and real-time inventory tracking. This role is designed for a "Logistics Architect" with 4–7 years of experience who can blend "Procurement Grit" with the "Systematic Rigor" required to manage high-velocity supply chain software.
Your mission is to ensure "Absolute Material Velocity and Regional Inventory Sovereignty." You will be the primary engine of our regional hubs: responsible for optimizing warehouse operations, engineering efficient distributor routes, and maintaining 100% data integrity within our logistics systems. If you possess "Advanced Supply Chain Software Mastery," a background in Industrial Logistics, and the "Operational Discipline" to manage high-volume inventory, we want you to drive our agency's sovereignty.
Requirements:
1. Logistics Architecture & Distribution Governance
Regional Distribution Engineering: Design and execute high-fidelity logistics plans to ensure the seamless movement of products from production sites to regional distributors.
Warehouse Sovereignty: Oversee high-standard warehousing operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, optimal storage conditions, and efficient "First-In-First-Out" (FIFO) protocols.
Route Optimization: Analyze regional transport networks to identify the most cost-effective and secure routes for material transit, specifically in complex northern and southern corridors.
2. Procurement & Vendor Stewardship
Strategic Sourcing: Manage procurement activities for logistics services and supply chain materials, ensuring high value and adherence to federal agency guidelines.
Vendor Diplomacy: Build and maintain robust relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and local distributors to ensure "Zero-Disruption" in the value stream.
Compliance Rigor: Ensure all procurement and logistics activities meet NASENI’s quality standards and Nigerian regulatory requirements.
3. Systems Intelligence & Digital Oversight
Software Mastery: Utilize advanced Supply Chain Management (SCM) software and ERP systems to track real-time inventory levels, shipments, and procurement cycles.
Data Fidelity: Prepare high-accuracy reports on logistics performance, material usage, and warehouse throughput for senior management.
Digital Transformation: Identify opportunities to automate manual tracking processes and improve the "visibility" of the supply chain across all locations.
4. Operational Resilience & Risk Mitigation
Supply Chain De-risking: Proactively identify potential bottlenecks or security risks in the distribution chain and develop rapid-response contingency plans.
Asset Protection: Ensure the physical security and integrity of all materials under regional remit, minimizing shrinkage and damage.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 4–7 years of robust experience in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement.
Technical Savvy: Deep experience in Warehousing, Distributor Logistics, and high-fidelity Supply Chain Software systems.
Core Competencies
Logistics Grit: Proven ability to manage complex movement of goods across diverse geographical regions.
Analytical Prowess: Ability to translate warehouse metrics and shipment data into actionable strategic improvements.
Communication Power: Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills for coordinating with regional hubs and external partners.
