Job Description:

  • The Stores & Inventory Officer is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, control, issuance, and reconciliation of inventory items required for factory operations.
  • The role ensures effective inventory management of spare parts, consumables, packaging materials, maintenance supplies, chemicals, and production inputs while maintaining inventory accuracy, traceability, and stock availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, record, and store inventory items in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control systems.
  • Manage stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of critical materials.
  • Monitor inventory movement and support inventory optimization initiatives.
  • Conduct periodic stock counts, reconciliations, and inventory audits.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions for spare parts, chemicals, packaging materials, and operational supplies.
  • Maintain inventory traceability and documentation in accordance with quality and food safety requirements.
  • Utilize ERP and inventory management systems to track inventory transactions and generate reports.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Maintenance, Production, and Finance departments to support operational requirements

Requirements:

  • HND / B.Sc in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • 2 – 5 years experience in inventory control, warehousing, or stores management, preferably within manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, or industrial operations.
  • Experience using ERP systems and barcode-based inventory systems will be an added advantage.

Requirements:

  • Strong inventory control and record-keeping skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, stock management, and inventory best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
  • High attention to detail and analytical capability.
