Job Description:

Kuda is looking for a high-impact SDET to serve as the architect of our platform’s quality and reliability. This is not a traditional QA role; it is an engineering-first position where you will build the automated infrastructure that protects the financial assets and data of our millions of customers. You will sit at the intersection of development and operations, ensuring that quality is "shifted left" and embedded into every stage of our CI/CD pipelines. Requirements:

• Automation Architecture: Design and scale robust, maintainable test frameworks from the ground up for our backend microservices (APIs), web platforms, and mobile (iOS/Android) apps.

• Pipeline Integration: Embed continuous testing into our DevOps workflows, ensuring that every commit is vetted for stability and functionality before it touches production.

• Performance & Security: Lead the charge on automated load, performance, and security testing to ensure Kuda remains resilient under massive transaction volumes.

• Engineering Collaboration: Partner with Developers and Product Managers during the design phase to define testability requirements, ensuring quality is "built-in" from the start.

• Defect Root Cause Analysis: Go beyond finding bugs; debug code, trace defects to their origin, and build preventative automation to eliminate regressions.

• Mentorship: Act as a technical leader, mentoring junior staff and fostering a culture of shared engineering responsibility.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: 5+ years in a dedicated SDET or Software Automation role.

• Programming Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Java and JavaScript; working knowledge of C# and Groovy.

• Automation Toolkit:

  • Web/Mobile: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium.

  • API/Data Testing: Rest Assured, Axios, Jest, OkHttp, Apache HttpClient.

  • Database: Experience managing connections via HikariCP or JDBC.

• Framework Patterns: Mastery of Keyword-Driven Testing and Page Object Model (POM).

• DevOps & CI/CD: Hands-on experience with Maven, TestNG, Jest, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps Pipelines.

• Reporting: Familiarity with Extent Reports, Azure/Assure Reports, and Jira integrations.
