We serve residential, commercial, and industrial clients with world-class products and services. As the exclusive distributor of Zektron products in Nigeria, Zagus Power Systems Limited has supplied, installed, and maintained critical power solutions across the country.
Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and technically elite Service Engineer to anchor our field operations. In the mission-critical power sector, success is defined by "Uptime Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize the installation and commissioning of complex UPS and Inverter systems with the clinical precision required for component-level troubleshooting, PCB repair, and battery impedance diagnostics. This role is designed for a "Power Architect" with a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and 2–3 years of hands-on experience who can blend "Field Grit" (handling battery bank installations and load testing) with the "Technical Agility" required to interpret complex circuit diagrams and integrate solar PV systems.
Requirements:
1. Kinetic Orchestration & Commissioning Governance
Installation Sovereignty: Install, configure, and commission high-fidelity UPS systems and inverters, ensuring every deployment acts as a "Source of Uninterrupted Power" for the client.
Troubleshooting Excellence: Diagnose and resolve complex faults down to the component level (PCB repair) with clinical accuracy, minimizing system downtime and technical friction.
Field Reconnaissance: Respond promptly to emergency service calls, providing high-stakes on-site technical support to restore "Power Sovereignty" during critical failures.
2. Maintenance Architecture & Storage Logic
Resilience Engineering: Execute rigorous preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, identifying potential failure points before they impact the client’s operational velocity.
Battery Stewardship: Perform high-fidelity Battery Impedance Testing and managed installations for Lead-acid and Lithium-ion banks, ensuring the storage "Source of Energy" is always optimized.
Load Intelligence: Conduct clinical load testing and site inspections to ensure all systems meet international safety standards and organizational quality benchmarks.
3. Technical Diplomacy & Documentation Power
Reporting Sovereignty: Prepare detailed technical service reports and site assessments after each intervention, providing clients with "Intelligence-Driven" recommendations for system optimization.
Wiring Architecture: Expertly manage internal electrical wiring and electricity load separation, utilizing circuit diagrams to engineer safe and efficient power distributions.
Tool Mastery: Utilize elite diagnostic tools—including Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, and Insulation Testers—to maintain the highest level of technical fidelity in the field.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on expertise specifically within the UPS, Inverter, or Power Systems industry.
Technical Mastery: Expertise in Single-phase and 3-phase UPS; knowledge of solar PV design and brands like Vertiv, Schneider, ABB, or Pylontech.
Core Competencies
Diagnostic Grit: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work under extreme pressure.
Instrument Proficiency: Expert use of digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and load testers.
Logistical Agility: Valid driver’s license and a high-velocity willingness to travel for regional site visits.
