Job Description:
We are seeking a highly analytical, empathetic, and conversion-driven Senior Student Recruitment Counsellor to anchor our student advisory desk. In this senior role, you will be the primary architect of the international student journey taking full operational ownership of applicants from initial walk-in profiling to final visa approval and pre-departure briefing.
This position demands far more than basic customer service; it requires a seasoned industry expert with deep, up-to-date literacy in global immigration policies, strict university admission metrics, and the strategic sales acumen necessary to convert prospective inquiries into confirmed institutional enrollments.
Requirements:
1. Academic Diagnostics & Global Advisory
Strategic Case Profiling: Evaluate prospective students' diverse academic transcripts, professional portfolios, budget limitations, and long-term career aspirations to architect customized destination, university, and course matrices.
Multi-Destination Consultation: Provide authoritative, expert-level counselling on higher education frameworks across prime destination markets, including the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, Australia, and New Zealand.
Walk-In & Inquiry Command: Anchor the front-line advisory desk, effectively managing and converting physical walk-in candidates and digital prospects by demystifying international study pathways.
2. End-to-End Application & Compliance Engineering
Admission Pipeline Execution: Coordinate the comprehensive processing of international university applications, writing or auditing Statement of Purpose (SOP) frameworks, managing references, and aggressively driving institutional follow-ups.
Visa Document Auditing: Guide students step-by-step through strict visa documentation pipelines, conducting meticulous reviews of financial evidence (Proof of Funds), medical clearances, and country-specific immigration compliance rules to ensure error-free submissions.
Regulatory Intelligence: Maintain daily vigilance over shifting global immigration updates, international visa policy modifications, and institution-specific compliance adjustments.
3. Pipeline Conversion & CRM Governance
Lead Retargeting & Engagement: Implement systemic, persuasive follow-up cadences with prospective students to nurture engagement, overcome objections, and meet strict seasonal conversion targets.
Data Hygiene & CRM Tracking: Record, track, and analyze all candidate pipelines, document uploads, and conversion milestones using our enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform and internal databases.
4. Stakeholder Synchronization
Institutional Liaison: Collaborate seamlessly with regional university representatives, global admissions teams, and internal agency colleagues to accelerate student placement timelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Proven Track Record
Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline from an accredited tertiary institution.
Industry Footprint: Minimum of 3–5 years of active, verifiable experience operating directly within the international education consulting or student recruitment industry.
Domain Competencies & Tool Stack
Immigration Literacy: Comprehensive, practical understanding of student visa processing requirements, financial sponsorship verification rules, and compliance standards for the UK, North America, and Australasia.
CRM Fluency: Direct, hands-on experience utilizing industry-standard CRM architectures to manage high-volume sales funnels and candidate databases.
Communication Matrix: Exceptional verbal and written English communication style, with the polished interpersonal skills required to build rapid trust with both young applicants and high-net-worth parents.
Cross-Cultural Acuity: Highly customer-focused with the psychological intelligence to thrive in a multicultural environment and manage complex client expectations under tight intake deadlines.
