Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Structural Engineer to lead the planning, analysis, and execution of structural works across our portfolio of construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring that all infrastructure from high-rise buildings and bridges to specialized steel structures is designed and built with absolute stability, safety, and compliance. You will oversee the entire structural lifecycle, bridging the gap between complex theoretical analysis and practical site execution while maintaining a sharp focus on cost-effectiveness and quality.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep mastery of structural modeling software and the leadership capability to mentor junior engineers and coordinate seamlessly with multidisciplinary project teams.

Requirements:

Structural Design & Analysis

• Engineering Design: Prepare and review comprehensive structural designs, calculations, and detailed drawings for foundations, reinforced concrete, and steel structures.

• Stability Analysis: Conduct rigorous structural analysis to ensure the adequacy and safety of proposed structures, ensuring full compliance with local and international building codes.

• Technical Integration: Review architectural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) drawings to ensure structural coordination and compatibility across all project facets.

Site Supervision & Quality Control

• On-Site Oversight: Supervise structural works during construction to ensure absolute adherence to approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.

• Quality Monitoring: Inspect reinforcement works, concrete placement, and steel fabrication/erection, identifying and resolving technical challenges on-site in real-time.

• Documentation: Review shop drawings and as-built revisions, maintaining an accurate record of structural calculations and inspection approvals.

Project Planning & Resource Management

• Stakeholder Coordination: Lead technical review meetings and collaborate with architects, quantity surveyors, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely project delivery.

• Resource Optimization: Review and approve structural materials for compliance, monitoring usage to recommend cost-effective engineering solutions without compromising integrity.

• Safety Leadership: Ensure all structural activities comply with HSE regulations and support the implementation of robust risk assessment measures.

Team Leadership & Development

• Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, providing the guidance necessary to maintain high engineering standards.

• Quality Assurance: Review all team engineering outputs to ensure accuracy and professional excellence.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:

  • B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is considered a significant added advantage.

• Experience:

  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering and large-scale construction projects.

• Professional Certification:

  • COREN registration and NSE membership are highly preferred.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Expertise in structural design software: ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and Revit.

  • Advanced knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structure design.

  • In-depth understanding of local and international building codes and engineering standards.
