Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Engineer to serve as a cornerstone of our engineering team. In our "people-first" culture, your role transcends writing code; you are a technical architect and a mentor who will design the scalable foundations of our global platform.

You will be responsible for building high-performance, modular microservices using Java and Spring Boot, orchestrated within Kubernetes environments. Requirements:

1. Scalable Architecture & Service Design

• Microservices Leadership: Design and implement performant backend services using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring modularity and robust dependency management.

• API Excellence: Build and scale RESTful web services and integrate third-party APIs with a focus on graceful degradation and error handling.

• Distributed Systems: Navigate the complexities of distributed computing, ensuring system reliability, testability, and high availability.

2. Data Integrity & Search Optimization

• Polyglot Persistence: Manage a sophisticated data layer using PostgreSQL for structured relational data and DynamoDB for high-velocity, dynamic NoSQL needs.

• Advanced Search: Optimize data discovery and analytics across massive datasets using Elasticsearch.

• ORM Mastery: Utilize Hibernate and other ORM frameworks to maintain efficient database interactions and data modeling.

3. DevOps Culture & Technical Excellence

• Cloud-Native Deployment: Leverage Docker and Kubernetes to manage containerized deployments across AWS infrastructure, ensuring parity between dev, staging, and production.

• Automation & CI/CD: Continuously improve the developer experience by automating pipelines and refactoring legacy code for performance gains.

• Mentorship & Governance: Lead architecture discussions, perform rigorous code reviews, and document technical processes to ensure long-term transparency and team growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a heavy focus on backend systems.

• Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Expertise: Deep mastery of Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem.

Core Competencies

• System Design: A methodical approach to debugging and solving complex, cross-stack architectural issues.

• Agile Mindset: Proficiency with Agile methodologies and a "team-first" attitude toward collaborative development.

• Full-Stack Awareness: While focused on the backend, exposure to AngularJS or React is a significant plus.
