Job Description:
Project Planning & Coordination:
- Lead the development of project execution plans, schedules, work breakdown structures, and resource plans.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Organize and participate in project review meetings, ensuring timely resolution of design and construction issues.
- Track progress against plans, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide senior-level technical input and guidance on all engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry codes and project requirements.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Support procurement of materials and equipment, including technical evaluations and vendor clarifications.
- Ensure constructability considerations are incorporated early into engineering design.
- Oversee field engineering activities, ensuring construction is executed according to approved drawings and standards.
- Liaise with construction supervisors, site teams, and contractors to address technical queries and site changes.
- Monitor contractor performance, ensuring adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and KPIs to project management and clients.
- Support cost control, budget tracking, and change management processes.
- Prepare technical reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
- Ensure all engineering and construction activities comply with QHSE policies and regulatory standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture among project teams and contractors.
Requirements:
- Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing complex projects from design to commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards, project management methodologies, and construction practices.
- Proficient in project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and engineering software relevant to specialization.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline).
- Minimum of 12 years experience in project engineering, project coordination, and/or construction supervision within oil & gas sector.
