The ideal candidate is a polymath who can transition seamlessly from building a functional UI framework to fine-tuning the physics of a character’s double-jump. Your mission is to move beyond static scripts, using LLMs, Generative AI, and Procedural Content Generation (PCG) to create living, breathing digital worlds. If you are a Unity expert who thinks in systems and dreams in AI-driven possibilities, we want you at the table.
Requirements:
1. Gameplay Engineering & Mechanical Design
Core Logic: Design and maintain high-performance game logic using Unity (C#), ensuring a rock-solid foundation for feature expansion.
Mechanics Prototyping: Rapidly prototype and polish core loops—from complex combat systems and inventory management to branchable progression trees.
Physics & Feel: Script character controllers and state machines that prioritize "game feel," ensuring responsive and intuitive player movement.
2. AI Integration & Workflow Automation
Smarter NPCs: Integrate AI tools (LLMs, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs) to enhance NPC dialogue, behavior trees, and world-building.
Procedural Content: Use AI for Procedural Content Generation (PCG) to create vast, varied environments and assets without manual overhead.
Operational AI: Implement AI-driven internal workflows to optimize coding, debugging, and asset pipeline efficiency.
3. Systems Architecture & Cross-Platform Reliability
Scalable Back-end: Build robust systems for data handling, cloud services (Firebase/AWS), and RESTful API integrations.
Performance Profiling: Optimize games for cross-platform deployment (PC, Mobile, Console), ensuring high frame rates and low memory footprints.
Clean Architecture: Apply OOP principles and design patterns (Singleton, Factory, Observer) to maintain a decoupled and testable codebase.
