Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage our sophisticated multi-cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will be the architect of our scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud operations, ensuring seamless performance across multiple providers.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in cloud platforms, container orchestration, and infrastructure automation. You will lead the charge in implementing CI/CD pipelines, observability solutions, and robust security frameworks to support our rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Requirements:

Multi-Cloud Infrastructure & Networking

• Architectural Design: Deploy and manage fault-tolerant, highly available infrastructure across GCP, AWS, Azure, and OCI.

• Cloud Networking: Design VPCs, subnets, and hybrid connectivity solutions (VPN, Direct Connect). Manage high-performance load balancing using HAProxy and Nginx.

• Migration & Optimization: Lead lift-and-shift or re-platforming initiatives from on-premises to the cloud while optimizing resource utilization through auto-scaling.

Containerization & Service Mesh

• Kubernetes Orchestration: Design and manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters (GKE, EKS, AKS), focusing on multi-region high availability.

• Istio Service Mesh: Implement Istio for microservices communication, advanced traffic routing (canary/AB testing), and enhanced observability via telemetry and distributed tracing.

Automation & CI/CD (DevOps)

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop modular Terraform configurations and Ansible playbooks to automate end-to-end provisioning and configuration.

• Pipeline Management: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Harness, and ArgoCD, integrating security scanning (SAST/DAST) and GitOps practices.

Data, Security & Messaging

• Secrets Management: Centralize security using HashiCorp Vault, managing dynamic credentials and encryption-as-a-service.

• Event-Driven Systems: Deploy and tune Apache Kafka clusters for real-time data streaming.

• Database Proxy: Optimize MySQL high availability and connection pooling using ProxySQL.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering, with a proven track record of managing production workloads across multiple clouds.

• Technical Mastery:

  • Platforms: Deep expertise in GCP and AWS; proficiency in Azure and OCI.

  • Orchestration: Expert-level Kubernetes and Docker skills.

  • Service Mesh: Advanced knowledge of Istio architecture and security (mTLS).

  • Automation: Highly proficient in Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash.

  • CI/CD: Hands-on experience with ArgoCD (GitOps), Jenkins, and Harness.

  • Security: Advanced knowledge of HashiCorp Vault operations.

• Core Competencies: Strong troubleshooting skills for complex networking and orchestration issues, excellent documentation habits, and a collaborative team spirit.
