Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Frontend Developer to join our e-Commerce and Digital Services team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing end-to-end solutions with a specific focus on storefront development. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable web solutions that provide a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

As a Junior Developer, you will work within a sophisticated architectural framework, collaborating closely with a multi-disciplinary DevOps team to translate business requirements into functional, high-performance code.

Requirements:

Frontend Development & Storefront Design

• Architectural Implementation: Design and build high-quality solutions following the SAP Composable Storefront (Spartacus) architecture and best practices.

• Coding & Styling: Utilize AngularJS, HTML5, and CSS3 (including pre-processors) to create responsive and visually appealing storefronts.

• Optimization: Apply strong knowledge of web accessibility, SEO, and Google Tag Manager to ensure the platform is discoverable and user-friendly.

Technical Collaboration & Agile Workflow

• Team Integration: Collaborate with the Product Manager, Lead Developer, and Platform Architect to analyze requirements and provide effort estimations (Story Points).

• Peer Review: Actively participate in troubleshooting, technical analyses, and code review processes to maintain high standards across the team.

• Mentorship: Support the success and development of fellow team members, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.

Code Management & Quality Assurance

• Best Practices: Adhere to code management protocols and propose improvements to existing development workflows.

• Reliability: Take full ownership of code quality and ensure the on-time completion of assigned tasks within the Agile Scrum framework.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: University Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field.

• Experience:

  • 1–2 years of experience as a Frontend Developer, ideally within the e-Commerce sector.

  • Proven experience in designing, building, and testing AngularJS-based web solutions.

• Technical Skills:

  • Core Tech: Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (and pre-processors), and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

  • Architecture: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

  • Platforms: Experience with SAP Composable Storefront (Spartacus) is a significant advantage.

  • Tools: Good understanding of Google Tag Manager, SEO principles, and web accessibility standards.

• Soft Skills:

  • Agile Mindset: Proven experience in Agile Scrum development practices.

  • Communication: Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Business Awareness: Familiarity with FMCG commercial business processes is a plus.
