Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and impact-driven Business Development Analyst / Business Analyst to work at the intersection of data, operations, and growth. In this critical role, you will evaluate business processes, analyze project data, and identify efficiency opportunities to scale initiatives across Africa. You will be instrumental in supporting leadership decisions, strengthening donor pipelines, and ensuring that our projects deliver measurable outcomes and accountability.

Requirements:

• Business Analysis & Process Improvement: Assess current workflows to identify inefficiencies, document business requirements, and implement scalable systems that enhance organizational effectiveness.

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and interpret data related to funding performance and partnerships. Develop dashboards and KPIs to track project success and improve funding allocation.

• Business Development & Growth: Research donor markets (DFIs, NGOs, CSR funds), manage partnership pipelines, and support the creation of winning proposals and fundraising materials.

• Strategic Planning: Support leadership with business cases, scenario modeling, and forecasting while identifying commercial opportunities and risks.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between business, technical, and operational teams, facilitating workshops and ensuring alignment between objectives and execution.

• Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E): Track beneficiary reach and social impact metrics, strengthening reporting systems to support evidence-based storytelling for partners.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business analysis, strategy, consulting, or analytical roles.

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets. Experience with Power BI or Tableau is a significant advantage.

• Core Competencies: Proven experience in business process mapping, requirement gathering, and converting complex data into strategic recommendations.

• Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with African development markets and donor ecosystems is highly preferred.
