Job Description:

We are seeking a data-driven and commercially-minded Sales Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will act as the strategic engine behind our sales department, transforming raw market data and internal reports into actionable growth strategies. Your primary objective will be to identify inefficiencies, predict market shifts, and provide the intelligence our sales team needs to sell more effectively and capture a larger market share.

The ideal candidate is an analytical powerhouse who can look beyond the numbers to see the human stories in consumer behavior and the strategic threats in the competitive landscape.

Requirements:

Data Mining & Strategic Analysis

  • Performance Tracking: Systematically collect and analyze data from internal sales reports to evaluate team productivity and individual performance trends.

  • Methodology Development: Design and implement sophisticated methods for assessing large datasets, ensuring that data processing is both scalable and accurate.

  • Trend Identification: Study historical sales cycles to determine long-term trends in productivity and identify seasonal fluctuations or market anomalies.

Market & Consumer Intelligence

  • Competitive Research: Conduct deep-dive research into competitor strategies, pricing models, and market positioning to help our team stay ahead.

  • Consumer Insights: Study the purchasing habits and shopping trends of our target demographic to ensure our sales approach aligns with modern consumer behavior.

  • Predictive Modeling: Utilize specialized sales prediction software to forecast future market trends and set realistic, data-backed sales targets.

Financial & Performance Reporting

  • Budget Examination: Review company budgets in relation to sales output to ensure optimal resource allocation and high ROI on sales initiatives.

  • Evaluation Reporting: Create and present comprehensive sales evaluation reports for management, translating complex data into clear, strategic recommendations.

  • Strategy Support: Collaborate with sales leadership to develop data-driven strategies for increasing market penetration and customer retention.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience:

    • Proven work experience as a Sales Analyst or in a similar data-heavy commercial role.

    • Strong background in market research and statistical analysis.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in CRM platforms and advanced sales forecasting software.

    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Data modeling, Power Query, Pivot Tables).

    • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or Power BI) is an advantage.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Analytical Problem-Solving: Ability to identify root causes of sales slumps and propose data-backed solutions.

    • Attention to Detail: An uncompromising eye for accuracy when handling large, sensitive datasets.

    • Communication Mastery: The ability to communicate technical findings clearly and effectively to non-technical sales teams and stakeholders.
