Job Description:

We are seeking a high-integrity Risk Management & Compliance Executive to serve as the primary architect of our internal control environment. In the evolving Nigerian financial services landscape, compliance is no longer just about "checking boxes", it is a critical driver of institutional stability and market reputation. This role is designed for a "Governance Strategist", someone with 4+ years of experience who can seamlessly navigate the complexities of AML/CFT regulations while proactively mitigating operational risks.

Your mission is to ensure the organization remains "Audit-Ready" and resilient. You will be responsible for the entire risk lifecycle: from implementing enterprise risk frameworks and monitoring high-volume transactions to leading regulatory reporting and providing C-Suite advisory on governance standards. Requirements:

1. Enterprise Risk & Operational Mitigation

• Framework Management: Design and implement robust risk management frameworks that identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational vulnerabilities.

• Transaction Monitoring: Maintain a "Vigilance First" approach by monitoring internal controls and high-frequency transactions to detect and prevent compliance breaches.

• Risk Mapping: Proactively identify emerging risks within the financial services sector and develop mitigation strategies to insulate the firm from downside exposure.

2. Regulatory Governance & AML/CFT Stewardship

• Statutory Adherence: Ensure 100% adherence to all regulatory requirements, with a specific focus on AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and CFT (Combating the Financing of Terrorism) standards.

• Regulatory Reporting: Lead the preparation and submission of all mandatory regulatory reports, acting as the primary point of contact for external audits and inspections.

• Policy Implementation: Translate complex legislative updates into actionable internal policies, ensuring the organization stays ahead of shifting governance standards.

3. Strategic Advisory & Stakeholder Synergy

• Management Advisory: Provide expert compliance advisory support to management, ensuring that new business initiatives are ethically sound and legally compliant.

• Audit Leadership: Direct the internal audit process, ensuring that findings are resolved with high velocity and documented for future regulatory reviews.

• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain trust-based relationships with regulators and internal department heads to foster a culture of shared accountability.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of core experience in Risk & Compliance within the Financial Services sector.

• Knowledge Base: Expert-level understanding of Nigerian financial regulatory frameworks (CBN, SEC, etc.) and global governance standards.

• Certification: Professional certifications (e.g., ACAMS, CRMA, or GRCP) are considered a significant competitive advantage.
