Job Description:
We are seeking a high-energy and versatile Restaurant Cashier to serve as the final touchpoint of our guest experience in Ikeja. In the fast-paced Lagos hospitality sector, a cashier is more than a horizontal processor of payments, they are the "Ambassador of the Final Impression." This role is designed for an "Energetic Service Professional", an intelligent individual (SSCE/OND) between 18–25 years old who can blend numerical accuracy with a charming, attentive service style.
Your mission is to ensure every guest departs with a smile and a receipt. You will be responsible for the entire point-of-sale lifecycle: from executing "Suggestive Selling" techniques that drive average check growth to managing swift resolution for customer inquiries. If you possess a "Hygiene-First" mindset and the professional grit to work in a high-volume team environment, we want you to be the face of our service.
Requirements:
1. Revenue Integrity & Transactional Mastery
Precision POS Entry: Ensure every sales entry is correctly captured in the system, with corresponding receipts issued to guests without delay.
Suggestive Selling: Actively use your product knowledge to recommend add-ons, sides, or premium pairings, directly contributing to the restaurant’s daily revenue targets.
Cash Governance: Maintain an organized and secure cash drawer, ensuring that physical cash, card payments, and digital transfers reconcile perfectly at the end of every shift.
2. Guest Diplomacy & Experience Management
Charming Service Delivery: Provide passionate and attentive service, ensuring guests are greeted and handled with the highest level of courtesy.
Swift Resolution: Act as the first line of defense for customer complaints, providing immediate, professional solutions to ensure guest satisfaction remains high.
Product Advocacy: Maintain a deep understanding of the menu, ingredients, and daily specials to answer guest inquiries confidently and accurately.
3. Operational Standards & Hygiene
Sanitation Stewardship: Maintain an excellent level of personal and workstation hygiene at all times, adhering to the restaurant’s professional appearance standards.
Team Synergy: Work seamlessly with the kitchen and floor staff to ensure the "Order-to-Payment" flow is frictionless and fast-paced.
Local Knowledge: Leverage your understanding of the Lekki, VI, or Ikeja customer landscape to provide a personalized service touch that resonates with local guests.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Age Bracket: Must be between 18 – 25 years old.
Education: Minimum of SSCE; Maximum of OND.
Experience: Previous hospitality experience is a plus but not compulsory (we value attitude and energy).
Location: Must reside in or be able to commute easily to Ikeja (or Lekki/VI as specified).
