We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- The Relationship Officer is responsible for sourcing new clients, managing existing customer relationships, and promoting the bank’s financial products and services.
- The role focuses on loan origination, client assessment, and ensuring timely loan repayment while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through client acquisition and market outreach
- Build and maintain strong relationships with individual and SME clients
- Promote and cross-sell the bank’s products, including loans, savings, and other financial services
- Conduct client visits and field assessments to evaluate creditworthiness
- Process loan applications and ensure proper documentation in line with bank policies
- Monitor loan performance and follow up on repayments to minimize default rates
- Provide financial advice and guidance to clients on suitable products
- Maintain accurate client records and prepare periodic performance reports
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 1–3 years’ experience in microfinance banking, sales, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of microfinance products and credit risk management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet targets
- Familiarity with Abuja market and business environment is an advantage
