Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and highly skilled QAQC (Quality Assurance and Quality Control) Manager to lead quality management processes across our construction portfolio in Lagos. In this role, you will be the guardian of our project standards. You will be responsible for defining the quality benchmarks, ensuring strict adherence to those benchmarks on-site, and driving continuous improvement across all our construction activities.

Requirements:

Quality Planning & Strategy

• Plan Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Quality Control (QC) plans, inspection, and testing protocols.

• Standards Enforcement: Define and monitor quality management processes to ensure every project aligns with company objectives and industry best practices.

• Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate current site processes to identify inefficiencies, implementing strategies to improve build quality and project delivery speed.

Site Supervision & Quality Assurance

• Hands-on Auditing: Conduct regular, thorough quality assurance audits at various project stages.

• Inspection Leadership: Lead site inspections and testing procedures to ensure all materials and workmanship meet approved specifications.

• Technical Support: Provide on-site technical support to project teams, assisting them in resolving construction challenges that may impact quality.

Compliance & Safety

• Regulatory Oversight: Ensure all construction activities remain in full compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and relevant statutory requirements.

• Documentation: Maintain rigorous documentation of inspections, audit findings, and compliance reports to serve as a verifiable track record for stakeholders.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Team Supervision: Supervise project teams and contractors, ensuring a culture of quality-first thinking is embedded at every level of the workforce.

• Communication: Serve as the primary liaison for stakeholders regarding quality matters, providing transparent reporting on project milestones, risks, and audit results.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.

• Experience: Proven professional experience in a QAQC role within the construction industry.

• Technical Mastery:

  • Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and QC procedures.

  • Proficiency in project management, including site-level team supervision and resource coordination.

  • Knowledge of construction safety regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., Nigerian building codes).

• Certifications: Possession of relevant quality management certifications (e.g., ISO 9001) is considered a strong advantage.

• Key Competencies:
