Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and authoritative Quality Control Manager to anchor our quality systems. You will be the ultimate guardian of our product integrity, ensuring that everything from raw material intake to final packaging meets stringent safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be an expert in navigating regulatory audits and will lead our QC team to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
Quality Systems & Compliance
Regulatory Leadership: Independently lead and manage audits by NAFDAC, SON, HACCP, ISO 22000, and other relevant certifying bodies.
Policy Enforcement: Develop, implement, and maintain robust QC policies and SOPs across the preparation, baking, and packaging stages.
Safety Standards: Strictly enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Housekeeping Practices (GHK) throughout the facility.
Laboratory Operations & Testing
Technical Analysis: Oversee all laboratory testing, including microbiological analysis, pH monitoring, moisture content, and organoleptic testing (taste, flavor, appearance).
Process Control: Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs), review batch records, and approve Certificates of Analysis (COA).
Equipment Stewardship: Manage the calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments to ensure high-precision data.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Team Mentorship: Coach and train the QC team on testing protocols, GMP standards, and data analysis.
Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into product complaints, non-conformities, and process deviations using RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
Waste Reduction: Identify inefficiencies in the production process and drive initiatives to optimize quality and reduce waste.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field.
Experience: 5–10 years of professional experience in Quality Control within the food processing, beverage, or FMCG industry.
Regulatory Expertise: Strong, demonstrable knowledge of ISO 22000/FSMS, HACCP, and ISO 9001.
Technical Tools: Familiarity with quality tools such as 5-Why analysis, CAPA, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and advanced microbiology testing.
Location: Candidates must reside within or be willing to relocate to the Agbara-Lusada axis.
Salary
