Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Quality Control Officer to join our production team in Ibeju Lekki. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of excellence, from the arrival of raw materials to the dispatch of finished goods. You will act as the primary guardian of our quality management system, utilizing analytical testing and rigorous inspection protocols to drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background in chemical engineering and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality discrepancies within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements:

Inspection & Testing

• Inward Quality Control: Conduct comprehensive inspections of all incoming raw materials to ensure they strictly adhere to approved company standards.

• In-Process Monitoring: Inspect product quality at various stages of the production cycle, maintaining accurate real-time documentation and records.

• Finished Product Evaluation: Perform high-level testing of final products against established specifications and quality indicators before they reach the customer.

• Metrology & Calibration: Supervise and coordinate the calibration and management of all testing instruments to ensure measurement accuracy.

Quality Management & Analysis

• Standards Development: Prepare and update product quality benchmarks for management approval and organizational implementation.

• Corrective Action: Analyze quality failures, prepare detailed reports, and recommend actionable preventive and corrective solutions.

• Complaint Resolution: Investigate and resolve quality-related complaints from both internal stakeholders and external customers.

• System Support: Assist in the maintenance and continuous evolution of the company’s internal Quality Management System (QMS).

Compliance & Safety

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Production and Maintenance teams to ensure all activities align with quality and safety protocols.

• EHS Adherence: Ensure that all quality processes are executed in strict compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Technical Skills

• Degree: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Chemical Engineering or a closely related technical course.

• Instrument Proficiency: Proven ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot quality inspection and testing instruments effectively.

• Documentation: Strong reporting skills with a meticulous approach to record-keeping and data analysis.
