Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Public Health Officer to drive our mission of disease prevention and community wellbeing. This is a high-impact role designed for a professional who is equally comfortable analyzing health data in an office as they are conducting outreach in the field.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of public health initiatives—from supporting immunization and surveillance programs to delivering life-saving health education. If you are a proactive communicator with a passion for building healthier communities and a disciplined approach to data reporting, we want you on our team to help shape the future of local healthcare.

Requirements:

1. Program Implementation & Community Outreach

  • Strategic Execution: Plan and monitor public health programs aimed at disease prevention and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.

  • On-the-Ground Assessment: Conduct comprehensive community health assessments to identify gaps in care and emerging health risks.

  • Outreach Leadership: Lead community engagement activities, ensuring that health services and information reach the most vulnerable populations.

2. Health Intelligence & Surveillance

  • Data-Driven Insights: Collect and analyze public health data to track program effectiveness and community health trends.

  • Disease Surveillance: Support active surveillance, screening, and immunization programs to prevent outbreaks and manage infectious diseases.

  • Technical Reporting: Prepare clear, actionable reports for healthcare providers and internal stakeholders to guide future interventions.

3. Advocacy & Health Education

  • Awareness Campaigns: Design and deliver engaging health education activities that empower community members to take charge of their wellbeing.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with healthcare providers, NGOs, and local leaders to coordinate health initiatives.

  • Policy Compliance: Ensure all programs and field activities strictly adhere to national public health policies and safety standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Community Health, or a related field.

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in public health programming or community outreach. Strong entry-level candidates with internship experience in public health are encouraged to apply.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills, with the ability to translate complex medical information into simple, relatable health education.

Core Competencies

  • Analytical Skills: Basic proficiency in data collection tools and the ability to interpret health metrics.

  • Community Engagement: High level of empathy and interpersonal skills for working with diverse populations.

  • Integrity & Ethics: A strong commitment to public health ethics, patient confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
