Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Public Health Officer to drive our mission of disease prevention and community wellbeing. This is a high-impact role designed for a professional who is equally comfortable analyzing health data in an office as they are conducting outreach in the field.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of public health initiatives—from supporting immunization and surveillance programs to delivering life-saving health education. Requirements:
1. Program Implementation & Community Outreach
Strategic Execution: Plan and monitor public health programs aimed at disease prevention and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
On-the-Ground Assessment: Conduct comprehensive community health assessments to identify gaps in care and emerging health risks.
Outreach Leadership: Lead community engagement activities, ensuring that health services and information reach the most vulnerable populations.
2. Health Intelligence & Surveillance
Data-Driven Insights: Collect and analyze public health data to track program effectiveness and community health trends.
Disease Surveillance: Support active surveillance, screening, and immunization programs to prevent outbreaks and manage infectious diseases.
Technical Reporting: Prepare clear, actionable reports for healthcare providers and internal stakeholders to guide future interventions.
3. Advocacy & Health Education
Awareness Campaigns: Design and deliver engaging health education activities that empower community members to take charge of their wellbeing.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with healthcare providers, NGOs, and local leaders to coordinate health initiatives.
Policy Compliance: Ensure all programs and field activities strictly adhere to national public health policies and safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Community Health, or a related field.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in public health programming or community outreach. Strong entry-level candidates with internship experience in public health are encouraged to apply.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills, with the ability to translate complex medical information into simple, relatable health education.
