Job Description:
We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager with deep expertise in Pipeline Construction and Infrastructure to lead our high-value energy projects in Port Harcourt. In the Nigerian Oil & Gas sector, a Project Manager is the "vortex" of the operation—balancing engineering precision with commercial grit and regulatory diplomacy. This role is designed for a "Strategic Deliverer", a COREN/PMP certified engineer with 5–7 years of experience who can navigate the complexities of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts from the first tender bid to the final commissioning.
Your mission is to ensure "On-Stream, On-Budget, and Zero-Harm." You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle: from managing the high-pressure bidding and tendering phase to overseeing onsite pipeline installations and maintaining rigorous HSE standards. If you possess a mastery of Primavera P6 and the leadership authority to manage cross-functional teams and government regulators, we want you to lead our capital projects.
Requirements:
1. Project Lifecycle & Engineering Coordination
End-to-End Delivery: Lead the initiation, planning, execution, and commissioning of complex pipeline and infrastructure projects within the FCT and Niger Delta corridors.
Integrated Scheduling: Develop and manage comprehensive project master schedules and resource allocations using MS Project or Primavera P6.
Technical Integration: Coordinate seamless synergy between Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC), and Commissioning phases to ensure design integrity is maintained in the field.
2. Commercial Strategy & Tender Management
Bidding Mastery: Lead the preparation of technical and commercial tender documentation, participating in prequalification processes and high-level contract negotiations.
Cost Engineering: Execute rigorous cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure project margins are protected against market volatility.
Contract Governance: Manage EPC contractors and vendors, ensuring all deliverables meet the contractual "Scope of Work" and international industry standards.
3. Stakeholder Diplomacy & HSE Governance
Regulatory Navigation: Collaborate with clients, consultants, and Nigerian government regulatory bodies to ensure all permits and environmental policies are strictly followed.
Safety Leadership: Enforce a "Total Safety" culture, ensuring every project phase complies with NEBOSH/IOSH standards and HSE Level 1, 2, & 3 requirements.
Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify project bottlenecks and environmental risks, implementing robust mitigation strategies to prevent delays or incidents.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering.
Experience: 5 – 7 years of proven track record in the Oil & Gas industry, specifically managing pipeline projects.
Certification (Mandatory): Candidates must hold PMP or PRINCE2, and COREN registration. HSE 1, 2, & 3 or NEBOSH is required.
Technical Savvy: Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project.
Core Competencies
Commercial Grit: Strong hands-on experience in bidding, tendering, and commercial negotiations.
Leadership Authority: Proven ability to manage large-scale EPC contractors and cross-functional engineering teams.
Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills for high-level client and regulatory engagement.
