Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of our EPC, fabrication, and construction projects. In this role, you will be the primary point of accountability for project execution, ensuring that all deliverables are completed within scope, on schedule, and under budget without compromising Marconi’s rigorous safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineering professional with a proven track record in heavy industrial environments and the commercial acumen to manage complex contracts and multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements:

Project Planning & Strategic Alignment

• Execution Planning: Develop comprehensive Project Execution Plans (PEP), resource schedules, and baseline timelines.

• Scope Definition: Clearly define milestones and deliverables, ensuring all internal and external stakeholders are aligned during project kickoff.

• Resource Optimization: Strategically plan manpower, equipment, and material utilization to prevent bottlenecks.

Operational Execution & Delivery

• Workflow Coordination: Oversee daily activities across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and logistics.

• Progress Monitoring: Track real-time progress against baselines; initiate swift corrective actions to mitigate delays.

• Technical Milestone Management: Ensure the successful completion of fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning phases (including FAT and SAT).

Financial & Risk Management

• Cost Control: Prepare budgets and cost forecasts, managing variations to protect project margins.

• Risk Mitigation: Identify potential project risks early, developing proactive mitigation strategies and leading incident investigations when necessary.

• Contract Management: Oversee change management and variation controls to ensure contractual and commercial integrity.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

• Client Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, resolving conflicts and providing transparent weekly dashboards and performance updates.

• Team Supervision: Lead and mentor project engineers, subcontractors, and site teams; facilitate weekly coordination meetings to ensure seamless communication.

• Documentation: Maintain meticulous records, including RFIs, change orders, and quality records, culminating in detailed project close-out reports and "lessons learned" documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Professional Status

• Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

• Professional Membership: COREN and NSE registration is required.

• Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification is a significant advantage.

Experience & Technical Skills

• Experience: 7–10 years of experience managing EPC, fabrication, or construction projects.

• Sector Expertise: Proven experience in oil and gas fabrication yards or heavy industrial environments.

• Software: High proficiency in project scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of engineering drawings, fabrication processes, and QA/QC standards.

• Leadership: Ability to coach and improve the capabilities of a multidisciplinary team.

• Negotiation: Skilled in conflict resolution and commercial negotiation with vendors and contractors.
