Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Project Assistant to anchor our emergency activation engine in Borno State. In the complex and high-stakes humanitarian landscape of the Lake Chad Basin, success is defined by "Field Operations Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize day-to-day administrative follow-up with the clinical precision required for beneficiary records, distribution lists, and WASH/Nutrition trackers. This role is designed for a "Documentation Architect" with a Degree or Diploma and 1–2 years of experience who can blend "Field Grit" (operating in challenging LGAs) with the "Technical Agility" required to manage digital records and movement plans.

Requirements:

1. Documentation Orchestration & Reporting Governance

  • Verification Sovereignty: Assist sector teams with beneficiary records and distribution lists, ensuring every entry acts as a "Source of Audit Integrity."

  • Reporting Architecture: Help compile weekly updates, field notes, and high-fidelity trackers, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for timely reporting across Nutrition and WASH.

  • Filing Stewardship: Ensure project documents are complete and well-filed, maintaining the "Source of Truth" for donor reviews and monitoring visits.

2. Operational Resilience & Logistics Logic

  • Planning Sovereignty: Support day-to-day planning and administrative follow-up for field activities, acting as the primary "Source of Operational Readiness."

  • Logistics Architecture: Assist in the preparation of movement plans and procurement requests, ensuring "Zero-Friction" in the flow of resources to the field.

  • Event Stewardship: Assist in organizing meetings, trainings, and distributions, providing the "Operational Foundation" for effective community engagement.

3. Safeguarding Integrity & Coordination Power

  • Accountability Sovereignty: Support safeguarding actions and handle feedback records through approved channels, acting as the "Source of Institutional Trust."

  • Liaison Architecture: Support communication between field teams, community structures, and local authorities, maintaining the "Source of Stakeholder Diplomacy."

  • Detection Logic: Flag documentation gaps or operational bottlenecks to supervisors with clinical speed, utilizing 1–2 years of experience to optimize the "Source of Project Delivery."

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field.

  • Experience: 1–2 years of robust experience in humanitarian or development project support.

  • Technical Mastery: Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Email) and experience with digital record management.

Core Competencies

  • Linguistic Power: Good written and verbal communication in English and relevant local languages.

  • Field Grit: Ability to work effectively in challenging and high-pressure field locations (Kala-Balge, Dikwa, Ngala).
