Job Description:
We are seeking talented, disciplined, and passionate individuals to join our broadcast team as On-Air Personalities and Newscasters. This role is designed for a versatile communicator who can bridge the gap between hard news and engaging entertainment. You will be the voice of the station, responsible for delivering accurate information and captivating content to a diverse and growing audience.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong "radio voice," unwavering confidence, and the ability to maintain professional conduct while navigating the fast-paced nature of live broadcasting and digital media engagement.
Requirements:
Presentation & News Delivery
On-Air Hosting: Present radio programmes in a professional, engaging, and listener-friendly manner that aligns with our brand identity.
News Casting: Read and interpret news bulletins with absolute clarity, ensuring accuracy in pronunciation and delivery.
Interviewing: Conduct interviews and moderate discussions, ensuring guests are comfortable while delivering high-value insights to the audience.
Content Creation & Scripting
Scriptwriting: Prepare high-quality scripts, programme notes, and show outlines for daily segments.
Digital Integration: Work with the production and digital teams to repurpose on-air content for social media and other digital platforms.
Collaborative Production: Contribute to the creative development of special programmes, station events, and innovative content ideas.
Listener Engagement & Brand Representation
Audience Interaction: Engage with listeners across radio frequencies and digital channels to build a loyal community.
Professional Conduct: Maintain punctuality and professional standards both on and off-air, serving as a consistent ambassador for the station.
Qualifications and Skills:
Communication Skills:
Excellent command of the English language.
The ability to speak Yoruba fluently is considered a significant advantage.
A clear voice with strong pronunciation and a professional tone.
Experience: Previous experience in radio, journalism, media, or public speaking is preferred, but we value talent and a "teachable" attitude.
Core Competencies:
Creativity: Ability to develop fresh angles for news and entertainment.
Confidence: Comfort with live presentations and real-time audience engagement.
Discipline: Punctuality and the ability to adhere to strict broadcast schedules.
