We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

  • Due to rapid expansion, we are looking for a qualified candidate to fill a creative technical position as we hope to maintain our status as the leading broadband connectivity services provider in Nigeria.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor network performance locally and as well as over the air interface.
  • Perform24/7network surveillance, respond to network‐reported and customer‐reported problems.
  • Provide specialist technical support to all other departments in the organisation regarding network and radio-related problems
  • Coordinate and perform maintenance of cell sites strictly managed by Swift Networks, and to liaise with the vendor on the maintenance of cell sites not directly managed by Swift Networks
  • Responsible for the configuration and bench testing of new products and giving ATP (Authority To Proceed) concerning those products
  • Technical point man between Swift & vendors regarding radio and microwave equipment-related RMA issues
  • Carry out other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
  • Reporting to the Customer Support Manager.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Collaborate with the other team to ensure continuous network monitoring and early detection of issues.
  • Work closely with customer service teams to resolve customer-related network issues.
  • Provide technical support to other departments while deploying new services or systems.
  • Assisted junior engineers and support staff with network-related training.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Create and maintain network diagrams, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide regular reports on network performance, uptime, and capacity to management.

Research and Development:

  • Stay up to date with the latest networking technologies and best practices.
  • Evaluate new networking solutions, tools, and equipment to improve network performance and reliability.
  • Participate in proof-of-concept testing for new networking products and services.

Requirements:

  • The job holder must have a Bachelor’s Degree 2nd Class Honours (Upper Division) in the Computer Science discipline or any other Networking-related field.
  • Telecoms experience will be an added advantage.
  • Must have the drive and capability to meet and exceed challenging targets.
  • Strong relationship and team building skills; experience in dealing with corporate, government representatives and other senior individuals and stakeholder groups.

  • Putting customers first – understand the needs, expectations and requirements of stakeholders.
  • Communicating for impact – effective communication with senior stakeholders inside and outside of the company.

Salary

N100,000 - N166,000 per month.
