Job Description:

• The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
• The role involves hands-on technical work across LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and security devices, including troubleshooting complex network incidents and supporting continuous improvement of network systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy LAN, WAN, and wireless networks across the organization.
• Implement routing, switching, and firewall solutions in accordance with best practices.
• Monitor network performance using monitoring tools and proactively address potential issues.
• Maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and inventory.
• Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, access points, and other network equipment.
• Implement and monitor network security controls to safeguard data and systems.
• Configure and manage VPNs (site-to-site and remote access).
• Ensure compliance with organizational IT security policies and industry regulations.
• Conduct periodic network security assessments.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd-level technical support for network-related issues.
• Troubleshoot latency, connectivity, and performance issues in a structured and timely manner.
• Participate in IT infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations.
• Recommend improvements to enhance network efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Stay up to date with emerging networking technologies and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4 - 5 years of experience in product management
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Experience with cloud networking is an added advantage.
