Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Network Admin Assistant to support the management, maintenance, and security of our technology infrastructure. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring our systems and network services run efficiently while providing critical technical and administrative support to our internal teams. Beyond infrastructure, you will also play a role in software quality assurance and the delivery of technical training for our staff and coding bootcamp participants.
The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong foundational knowledge of networking, hardware, and cybersecurity.
Requirements:
Network & Systems Administration
Infrastructure Monitoring: Monitor network, server, and system performance to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
Connectivity Support: Assist with LAN/WAN maintenance, Wi-Fi connectivity support, and internet performance monitoring.
Device Management: Support the configuration of routers, switches, and other network devices, troubleshooting connectivity issues as they arise.
Maintenance & Security: Perform routine system, antivirus, and security updates across all workstations and servers. Assist in maintaining firewalls, endpoint protection, and access control.
IT Support & User Management
Access Control: Manage user account setups, password resets, and system permissions administration.
Technical Helpdesk: Provide first-level technical support, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues for end users.
Asset Tracking: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, network configurations, licenses, and access logs.
Backup & Recovery: Monitor backup processes and assist in disaster recovery and data restoration activities.
Software Testing & Training
QA Support: Assist in testing software applications before deployment to ensure functionality and performance; document test results and track bugs for resolution.
Staff Training: Conduct basic IT orientation and training sessions for staff on company systems and IT best practices.
Educational Delivery: Facilitate training on assigned technical courses during the company’s coding bootcamps.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Status
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical exposure).
Seniority: Must have completed NYSC or possess up to 1 year of relevant experience (Internship, IT Support, or Network Support roles).
Technical Skills
Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with server administration, cybersecurity practices, and hardware support.
QA & Testing: Understanding of basic software testing processes and bug reporting.
Documentation: Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain clear IT policies, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Salary
