Job Description:

We are seeking a methodical and technical MIS Associate to serve as the primary data operator for our field-based and partner operations in Nigeria. In this hands-on role, you will be the guardian of data integrity, ensuring that every submission from our distribution network is verified, cleaned, and processed with surgical precision. You will manage complex verification queues, maintain robust databases, and ensure our real-time dashboards accurately reflect programme performance.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives under remote supervision, possesses advanced spreadsheet mastery, and takes personal ownership of data quality outcomes.

Requirements:

Daily Data Operations (40%)

  • Sales Verification: Receive and process daily sales submissions from distribution partners across Nigeria, applying structured cleaning protocols to flag errors or duplicates.

  • Queue Management: Maintain the verification queue within strict turnaround targets, ensuring all flagged cases are clearly documented and resolved.

  • Database Administration: Update partner databases covering inventory and agent performance while monitoring serialization systems to prevent duplication.

  • Version Control: Manage scheduled data extracts and maintain strict version control across all shared spreadsheets and databases.

Monitoring & Compliance (25%)

  • Audit Readiness: Compile organized documentation for internal and third-party audits.

  • Integrity Reviews: Conduct regular audit reviews to identify and resolve data discrepancies.

  • Target Tracking: Review field activity against project targets and flag anomalies to the Regional MIS Manager.

  • Filing Systems: Maintain a structured digital filing system across all shared company drives.

Partner & Call Centre Support (20%)

  • Technical Support: Serve as the first line of support for call centre staff and partners regarding data submission and system queries.

  • Troubleshooting: Resolve errors related to ODK (Open Data Kit) and Kobo Toolbox form submissions.

  • Training: Deliver targeted training refreshers for partner organizations and sales agents on data quality standards.

Reporting & Documentation (15%)

  • Dashboard Management: Maintain real-time dashboards (Looker Studio/Power BI) covering sales volume and inventory status.

  • Performance Reporting: Produce weekly performance reports for Senior Leadership and the Regional MIS Manager.

  • SOP Development: Document technical processes in the shared MIS Toolbox to preserve institutional knowledge.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Science. (Candidates with a relevant Diploma and 2+ years of experience will also be considered).

  • Experience: 1–3 years in data management, MIS, M&E, or data operations.

  • Environment: Experience working under remote supervision or in a multi-country programme is a major plus.

Technical Skills (Non-Negotiable)

  • Advanced Spreadsheets: Expert proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, Array Formulas, and Data Validation).

  • Mobile Data Collection: Hands-on experience building and troubleshooting ODK or Kobo Toolbox.

  • Data Visualization: Experience maintaining live dashboards in Google Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.

  • Google Workspace: Proficient in managing Drive permissions, folder structures, and version control.

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of SQL for database querying.
