Job Description:

  • Provide comprehensive medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients across outpatient and inpatient units.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, order investigations, and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Participate actively in ward rounds, emergency care, and clinical reviews.
  • Manage medical emergencies promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with consultants, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare staff to deliver coordinated care.
  • Document patient history, treatment plans, progress notes, and referrals accurately.
  • Counsel patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, lifestyle changes, and preventive care.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, hospital policies, and quality standards.
  • Assist in minor surgical procedures and provide pre- and post-operative care.
  • Participate in clinical audits, case reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support training and supervision of junior medical staff and interns (where applicable).
  • Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control practices.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the Medical Director.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/MBChB) from a recognized institution.
  • Must have a valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Minimum of 2 – 5 years post-NYSC clinical experience, preferably in a hospital setting.

Salary

N300,000 - N350,000 monthly.
