Job Description:
Coordinate the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and implement performance measurement systems for effective business monitoring
Prepare and deliver accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports to senior leadership in a timely manner
Develop and maintain cash flow statements, income statements, and expenditure accounts to support financial planning
Monitor and report on budget performance, including variance analysis of actual revenue/expenditure versus budget, with clear commentaries
Analyze financial trends and fluctuations, recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure cost control measures are implemented
Evaluate both financial and non-financial performance, providing insights on the financial impact of business decisions
Offer professional financial judgment and advise management on strategies to enhance business performance
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during reviews and audits
Ensure compliance with HSE policies, safe work practices, and company procedures
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor or line manager
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of accounting, finance, and business principles, with familiarity in IFRS considered an advantage
Proven ability to make financial projections, interpret complex data, and provide strategic business recommendations
Excellent expertise in automated financial reporting systems and tools
Sound understanding of federal and state financial regulations and compliance standards
High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards in financial management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for financial analysis and reporting
Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy
Excellent written reporting abilities combined with commercial awareness and business insight
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels
Demonstrated leadership and managerial capabilities with the ability to guide and mentor teams
Ability to perform effectively under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and consistently meet deadlines
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics or other related field.
- 5 to 7 years of work experience in Accounts/Finance function
- Relevant professional qualification e.g. Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
- Experience in finance, accounting, planning, budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
