Job Description:

• Our client is  seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Port Harcourt.
• The successful candidate will support daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and assist with compliance and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records, ledgers, and journals
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and timely
• Support bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and internal reviews
• Support payroll preparation and statutory deductions where required
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• ICAN/ACCA (or in progress) is an added advantage

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 0–2 years relevant accounting or finance experience
