Job Description:

We are seeking a technically agile and proactive IT Support Officer to anchor the digital operations of Supamart. In a high-volume retail environment, success is defined by "System Continuity", the ability to ensure that Point of Sale (POS) systems, branch networks, and hardware infrastructure operate without friction. This role is designed for a "Technical Problem-Solver" with 1–3 years of experience who can blend "Network Troubleshooting" with the "Operational Grit" required to support multiple retail branches in real-time.

Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Downtime Transactions and Robust Data Security." You will be the primary steward of the retail tech stack: responsible for maintaining POS-inventory integration, securing financial records through rigorous backups, and providing rapid-response support for hardware and connectivity issues. If you possess "Analytical Precision," a background in Computer Science or IT, and the ability to manage diverse hardware assets, we want you to drive our digital excellence.

Requirements:

1. Retail Systems & POS Orchestration

  • Transaction Continuity: Maintain and troubleshoot Point of Sale (POS) hardware and software to ensure seamless billing and customer checkout experiences.

  • Systems Integration: Support the critical link between front-end POS terminals and back-end inventory management software to ensure real-time stock accuracy.

  • Diagnostic Support: Resolve hardware and software conflicts for computers, printers, and barcode scanners, minimizing disruptions to branch sales.

2. Network Resilience & Infrastructure Management

  • Connectivity Stewardship: Manage and monitor the local network infrastructure (LAN/WAN), including routers, switches, and Wi-Fi performance across all branches.

  • Hardware Lifecycle: Perform regular maintenance on IT assets, including CCTV systems and printers; coordinate the repair or replacement of faulty equipment to maintain operational readiness.

  • System Deployment: Lead the installation and configuration of operating systems and business applications, ensuring all units are optimized for retail performance.

3. Data Sovereignty & Cybersecurity Governance

  • Security Shielding: Implement and monitor antivirus protocols and cybersecurity measures to protect systems from vulnerabilities and unauthorized access.

  • Backup Integrity: Execute and verify daily data backup procedures to ensure the safety of confidential company data and financial records.

  • Asset Intelligence: Maintain a high-fidelity inventory of all IT assets, tracking device assignments and maintenance history for transparent reporting.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

  • Experience: 1–3 years in IT support, network administration, or retail technology support.

  • Technical Mastery: Strong knowledge of Windows OS, LAN/WAN troubleshooting, and retail-specific hardware (scanners, POS, thermal printers).
