Job Description:

A reputable Microfinance Bank in Ekiti State is seeking a highly skilled and proactive ICT Officer to oversee the backbone of its technological infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring 100% uptime for core banking systems, safeguarding sensitive data, and ensuring strict technical compliance with CBN guidelines. This is an essential role for a technically sound professional who excels in system administration, database management, and cybersecurity within a financial services environment.

Requirements:

• System & Core Banking Administration: Manage day-to-day operations of IT hardware, servers, and software. Provide expert support for the Core Banking Application (CBA), including managing EOD/EOM processes and database integrity.

• Network & Cybersecurity: Implement and maintain robust security protocols (firewalls, antivirus, access controls) to protect digital assets against cyber threats. Monitor LAN/WAN connectivity for optimal performance.

• Data Integrity & Recovery: Execute rigorous backup protocols (daily/weekly/monthly) and maintain an effective Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) to guarantee business continuity.

• Electronic Banking Support: Maintain agency banking platforms, e-banking channels, and POS terminals to ensure seamless customer service.

• Regulatory Compliance: Generate system logs and reports required for CBN/NDIC e-rendition and audit compliance.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience: 2–4 years of post-qualification experience as an IT/ICT Officer in a financial institution, with specific hands-on experience in Microfinance Core Banking Applications.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong knowledge of SQL database management.

  • Proficiency in network administration (LAN/WAN) and Windows/Linux server management.

  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices.

• Certifications: Professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+, MCSE, or ITIL are highly advantageous.

• Soft Skills: Proven ability to diagnose and solve technical issues rapidly, high professional integrity, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
