Job Description:

We are seeking a technically agile and patient IT Help Desk Officer to anchor our technical support operations in Ikorodu. In a fast-paced business environment, success is defined by "Resolution Velocity", the ability to diagnose hardware, software, and connectivity issues rapidly to ensure zero loss in employee productivity. This role is designed for a "Technical Problem-Solver" with 2–4 years of experience who can blend "System Maintenance" with the "Communication Prowess" required to support users across all levels of the organization.

Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Downtime Workstations and Robust Network Stability." You will be the primary point of contact for all technical inquiries: responsible for maintaining office hardware, configuring software, and ensuring that the local network remains secure and functional. If you possess "Analytical Precision," a First Degree in a relevant field, and a proactive mindset toward preventative maintenance, we want you to drive our operational excellence.

Requirements:

1. End-User Support & Incident Management

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Provide rapid-response support for hardware (PCs, Laptops, Printers) and software (OS, Office 365, ERP) issues.

  • Resolution Governance: Manage the lifecycle of support tickets, ensuring all requests are documented, prioritized, and resolved within established timelines.

  • User Onboarding: Configure and deploy new workstations, ensuring all software, security patches, and network permissions are correctly assigned.

2. Infrastructure & Network Stewardship

  • Connectivity Monitoring: Monitor local area network (LAN/WAN) stability and Wi-Fi performance, escalating complex outages to senior engineering teams when necessary.

  • Hardware Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance on office equipment, including printers, scanners, and CCTV systems, to minimize physical failures.

  • Asset Tracking: Maintain a high-fidelity inventory of all IT assets, tracking device health and assignment history for audit purposes.

3. Security & Data Integrity

  • Antivirus Management: Ensure all endpoints are protected with updated security software and that firewalls are functioning as intended.

  • Data Recovery Support: Assist staff with data backup procedures and lead basic file recovery efforts in the event of local hardware failure.

  • Policy Compliance: Train and guide staff on IT security best practices to prevent phishing and unauthorized system access.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Minimum of a First Degree (B.Sc./B.Eng./B.Tech.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • Experience: 2–4 years of proven experience in an IT support or Help Desk role.

  • Technical Mastery: Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft 365 Suite, and basic network troubleshooting (IP configuration, cabling, routers).
