Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite IP Core Network Engineer to anchor the NOC engine of our leading ISP. In the mission-critical world of broadband delivery, success is defined by "Infrastructure Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize massive traffic flows with the clinical precision required for MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and L2/L3 VPNs. This role is designed for a "Backbone Architect" with 3–5 years of experience who can blend "Technical Grit" (troubleshooting complex routing incidents) with the "Strategic Agility" required to scale our core network for growing demand.
Requirements:
1. Core Orchestration & Routing Governance
Routing Sovereignty: Monitor and maintain the IP core (BGP, OSPF, ISIS) with millimetric focus, acting as the primary "Source of Global Connectivity."
VPN Architecture: Troubleshoot and optimize MPLS, L2/L3 VPNs, and QoS, providing the "Structural Foundation" for seamless customer service delivery.
Gateway Stewardship: Manage the Internet Gateway (IGW) and core transit networks, ensuring the "Source of Route Policy Optimization" is elite and efficient.
2. Tactical Resilience & Incident Logic
Troubleshooting Sovereignty: Act as the primary technical escalation point for core incidents, acting as the primary "Source of Rapid Issue Resolution" (<15-minute MTTR).
Analysis Architecture: Utilize tools like Wireshark and NetFlow to identify anomalies and security threats, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for root cause analysis.
Maintenance Stewardship: Execute software upgrades, hardware acceptance tests, and configuration audits, maintaining the "Source of Network Health."
3. Evolution Integrity & Capacity Power
Redundancy Sovereignty: Ensure compliance with ISP regulations and peering agreements (IXP), acting as the primary "Source of Network Survivability (FRR/SR)."
Planning Architecture: Collaborate with design engineers for capacity planning and peering implementations, providing the "Visual Foundation" for backbone scaling.
Automation Logic: Leverage familiarity with SDN, Python, or Ansible to improve NOC workflows, utilizing 3–5 years of ISP expertise to maximize the "Source of Operational Velocity."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: HND (Upper Credit) or BSc (2:1) in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related fields.
Experience: 3–5 years in IP core network operations, preferably within an ISP or telecom NOC.
Certifications: Professional-level certifications (CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE) are highly desirable.
Technical Mastery
Protocols: Strong hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, L2VPN, and L3VPN.
Hardware: Practical experience configuring Cisco or equivalent high-end IP routers and switches.
Monitoring: Proficiency with NOC tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios.
